Well hello all. It’s been a minute since I’ve updated. Let’s see, I don’t really feel like typing so this will be short and bitter. Yesterday I missed work to take Mom to the E.R. We got there at 7 am and we left at 7 pm. Still without seeing a doctor. Yes the nurses checked her vitals every 3 hours but that was it. It was so crowded and nasty in the E.R....

Surgery in Feb
Mom has been going to the liver specialist and the gynecologist since she’s been diagnosed with Hep C. Well, the gyn was for the cyst that was on her uterus.
Yesterday she went in to check on that and they said it got larger and they will have to remove it. They didn’t say it was cancerous because they aren’t sure until the actually go in and scrap it out then test it. I was...

My Mom was excited today :)
Last Friday my mom, grandmother, and I were watching Dr. Phil and mom said ”wouldn’t it be great if we could see the show live!” I said “hey! We should get tickets to be in the audience!” I went online and requested tickets because she LOVES the Dr. Phil show! I mean LOVES!!!

Fluid building up again...
it’s been 3 months since my mom had to go through a tap to relieve some of the pressure from the build up of fluid. During the past 3 days she’s been feeling like her belly is fulling up to the point where she needs to get some of it drained, because it’s so painful when it fills up. She called to make an appointment today but it won’t be until the 21st. She can’t...
Liver Transplant? Yes
Mom went to see the Liver Specialist again today. I tried not to call her over and over while she was there so I kept myself busy at work. Her appt was @ 1:30, she didn’t get home until 5:15. The specialist told her that she definitely needs a liver transplant and that her liver is too damaged for them to start Hep C treatments. If they do, she could die.

Mom went in for her blood test and ultrasound earlier this week. No results yet. She has her Liver Specialist appointment on Monday and then a another blood test and ultra sound later that week. We don’t know why but, I guess the docs are monitoring somethings that they are not disclosing as of yet.

Aquarium of the Pacific
Mom and I actually went to the aquarium today and we had a great time. We were both amazed at the marine life that exist beneath the oceans floor. We walked around in disbelief at some of these creatures from below. Absolutely Beautiful.
Mom went for her follow up appt today to check up on the ascites. After they took out fluid weeks ago, they wanted to make sure she didn’t get an infection again and that she’s doing o.k.
When she went to the hospital (she drove herself again) the doctor said “wow! You look good” :) she said “I feel good”.
They did the normal exam by pressing on her belly...
Mommy and Me day...
Well it seems like things are getting back to normal in our lives. Mom is feeling better even though she still has the belly and has lost a lot of weight, she is feeling great! She is moving around quicker without the pain that she use to have in her back and around her ribs. Yesterday was Mom’s liver “specialist” appt. They didn’t tell her anything new. All she got from this appt which we’ve been waiting for since what? ahh since Father’s Day was… “You have 3 things going on at once. First you have your liver, Second you have the ascites (fluid in the belly) and Third you have the cyst (cancerous or non cancerous)...

Today I went over to my parent’s house as usual after I got off work. My mom was sitting on the couch looking very fatigue. She said she didn’t sleep much last night… well she hasn’t slept much for the past few nights. I’m sure it’s getting to her. Her appointment to see the Liver Specialist (finally!) is on Monday. Roller Coaster ride
On Tuesday my mom called the hospital to see if she could get some of the fluid tapped from her belly since the fluid was building up and making it difficult for her to move. They said they would see her on Thursday to do the tap at 1 pm. I go to work that day and wait for her to call or text about what happened. An hour passes, 2 hours passes, 3 hours passes, 4 hours passes, 5 hours...
Mom called the hospital today to see if she could go in to get some of the fluid drained. She can’t take it anymore, it’s filled to capacity again and she’s in pain. The gave her an appointment for Thursday at 1. I hope it helps because she’s starting to loose her appetite again since there is no room for the food to go. :(
Uncle Bobby came over today to bring my mom a back brace to help relieve some of the pain she is experiencing in her up/mid back. Today my mom went to the Gyn since they sent her an appointment card in the mail. Turns out they told her something she already knew from an ultra sound done 2 months ago. She has a tiny mass (cyst) floating around in her uterus. They want to monitor it to make sure it’s not cancerous.
