Uncle Bobby came over today to bring my mom a back brace to help relieve some of the pain she is experiencing in her up/mid back. He also brought her something she’s been craving for a while, it’s called Casava Bread, it’s a Belizean thing I think. But she didn’t think he could find any but he did! She was all smiles when she opened the bag of stuff he brought. He also gave her a 50 dollar gift card to buy some clothes since nothing really fits her right. She needs new shorts so she’s going to buy maternity shorts so it can go around her belly. She was excited about that too. It was good to see her smiling today and laughing about old stories my uncle told from their childhood. During my uncles visit he spoke to my mom about staying positive and not get depressed over her condition. He suggested that she started to walk to help her heart and not just sit down all day because of the pain in her back and belly. He also suggest she started doing some exercises to increase the muscles in her back so it won’t be so tense all the time. She’s so afraid to move that her back muscles have weakened. He said he would bring her a stationary exercise bike and some 5 lbs weights to help build up the muscles in her legs and back again. Then hopefully she can move around without much pain.
